The Young and the Restless dives into a crisis that forces Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) to contemplate a strategic alliance with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). Facing a common enemy, Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn), Jack proposes a truce to Victor. Victor, who is plotting against Jack, attempts to manipulate Cane into using a powerful AI program against Jack and Jabot. However, Cane, confident in his fixer, Michael Baldwin (Christian Jules Leblanc), rebuffs Victor.
GH keeps Cane in the dark and he doesn't know, Michael is a double agent working for Victor. Despite warnings from Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), Jack pushes forward with his plan, believing he knows what he is doing. This week's spoilers suggest Victor might accept Jack's truce proposal, but it seems likely that he will betray Jack once Cane is dealt with. Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) gets a shock this week, possibly related to the unexpected alliance.
